Russian Championship among RTS professionals in Smooth

Yesterday, October 27, for the first time on the parquet floor of the State Kremlin Palace, the historic first Russian Championship among RTS Smooth professionals took place.

This was another important milestone in the history of Smus development in our country. Let us remind you that the history of the development of this wonderful dance style in Russia began in December last year. Today, more and more dancers are showing genuine interest in the Smooth direction.

That evening the performances of the participants were assessed by 9 international judges:

The chief judge of the Russian Championship was Leonid Pletnev (Russia).

The championship began with the ½ finals, where 8 professional duets performed:

Alexey Polovnikov and Olga Shcherbina

Alexey Shershnev and Polina Khamova

Vitaly Matusyak and Anastasia Kryukova

Ivan Bagaev and Yuliana Voloshina

Bronnikov Artyom and Bronnikova Daria

Roman and Anastasia Popov.

6 couples made it to the Finals and competed for the title of winners. The well-deserved places on the podium were taken by:

3rd place - Artem Merenkov and Tatyana Voilokova

2nd place - Vitaly Matusyak and Anastasia Kryukova.

The first Russian Smooth Champions in history were Alexey Polovnikov and Olga Shcherbina. We sincerely congratulate the winners!
