Solo Smooth® Syllabus Figures
The figures of the Solo Smus curriculum are:
Equal amplitude and balanced coordination of right and left figures. At the same time, an important feature, unlike the figure of the European program of the female part, where a large number of figures are performed backwards along the line of dance, Solo Smus is based in most of its elements on a forward movement, where when moving along the line of dance (counterclockwise), the figures are also equally distributed between right-rotational, left-rotational and frontal. At the same time, the functions of the hands are divided into static forms, inherent in ballet positions, and decorative ones, borrowed from the forms of Latin American and contemporary dances. Thanks to this, a clear geometric shape arises, in which there are enormous possibilities for musical filling and self-expression.
Unlike pair dances of the European program, there is no interaction of counterbalance, there is no fixed point of contact, the head has an equal degree of amplitude of turns and tilts both to the left and to the right. As a result, from a physiological point of view, Solo Smus promotes a more harmonious development of the body, its amplitude, strength and trajectory of movement in space.
Development of the left and right hemispheres of the brain, and, accordingly, logical and consistent actions on the one hand and physical, emotional and intuitive actions on the other.

Solo Smooth syllabus figures are:

With this important feature, in comparison to the International Ballroom follower part, where a large number of steps are danced backing along the line of dance, Solo Smooth dance style based in most of its elements on progressive movement forward, where the figures are also equally distributed between right-rotating, left-rotating and frontal. At the same time, the functionality of hands and arms contains classical forms of ballet positions and decorative ones borrowed from the forms of Latin American and contemporary dances. Thereby, a clear geometric form arises, in which there are unlimited opportunities for musical filling and self-expression.

The idea of creating the Solo Smooth project was based on three main principles:
1. The ability to move harmoniously, amplitude, stylistically competently, with own balance, without disturbing the anatomy of the body.
2. To give a new level of development to the solo ballroom performance. Based on the basic elements of the Ballroom discipline, use elements of ballet, jazz, involve the development of personal interpretation using spine, arms, hands, body & head positions within the framework of the technique of this discipline.
3. The possibility of developing an alternative dance style in ballroom dancing, which in the future will give a powerful booster in couple dancing.
