In the rhythms of summer - 2024

On June 15 and 17, as part of the “In the Rhythms of Summer” festival, the first Russian Amateur Championships in dance sports and the Smus discipline took place under the auspices of FTSARR and SRDS.

This year, the SRDS company, led by Olga Krasnyanskaya and Eldar Dzhafarov, and the Federation of Dance Sports and Acrobatic Rock and Roll, led by Nadezhda Erastova, have done productive work to promote and develop the Smus discipline in Russia. This was confirmed by the record number of couples on the floor and the high level of performance of this dance style.

This year, for the first time, Solo Smooth competitions were held among juveniles and juniors, as well as traditional tournaments among pairs of juveniles, juniors and amateurs in the Youth + Adults age category.

In the Youth + Adult category, competitions began with the 1/4 finals.

24 couples from 15 regions of Russia took to the floor! 24 magnificent duets also took part in the Junior 2+1 category. In the Children 2+1 category, 14 couples took to the floor. This is an incredible testament to the hard work of the coaches and dancers.

We see how every year the interest and love for the Smooth direction among Russian dancers grows, how the level of performance and skill increases.
