Solo Smooth program: idea of creation, principles, opportunities for dancers

The idea of creating the Solo Smooth project was based on three main principles:

The ability to move harmoniously, with amplitude, stylistically competently, in one’s own balance, without disturbing the anatomy of the body;

To provide the opportunity for solo performance of the European program to a new level of development;

The opportunity to develop an alternative movement in ballroom dancing, which in the future will provide a powerful booster in pair dancing.

Even if a dance is traditionally a couple dance, the choreography can be modified to be performed by one dancer. With this in mind, we decided to create the Solo Smooth program, with which you can safely begin your journey into Smooth and reach a new level of dancing.

Solo performance promotes maximum self-expression and personal interpretation of the character and expression of the dance. You will gain practical skills about solo composition, dance design and the culture of its performance. You will be able to learn how to independently create a musical and motor image, develop leadership qualities, self-confidence and use dance skills not only in the training process, but also in performance on the floor at competitions.

Solo Smooth is based on forward movement, where, when moving along the line of dance, the figures are also equally distributed between dextrorotatory, levorotatory and frontal.

Solo Smooth is also a development of a new ballroom dance movement for couples. Based on the basic elements of the European program, you will be able to use elements of ballet, jazz, and use the development of your own interpretation of the arms, body, and head positions within the framework of the technique of this direction.

Solo Smooth is not only a development of technical skills, but also a powerful contribution to artistic excellence. You will learn not only to perform figures beautifully and competently and navigate the stage independently, but also to do it emotionally and expressively. The dance will acquire its own style and distinctive harmony.

A solo performance of Smus is also necessary in order to learn how to enter a choreographic image, to be able to present oneself as an artist, professionally and competently.

Solo Smooth is the place to start.
