Championships and RTS Championships 2023

Last weekend, the Crocus City Hall hosted the RTS Championships and Championships, which included Championships and Championships in the Smooth discipline.

“In recent years, the Smooth program has gained great popularity in our country. The combination of European dances, open choreography, open positions with elements of Latin American dance has become even more attractive. For the first time, within the framework of the RTS Championships in the American Smooth discipline, participants in the Adults + Youth category took to the floor. Four magnificent duets took part in the competition. Yaroslav Govorukhin and Milana Mardanova became the absolute champions in this category, confirming their status as champions in this category within the framework of the FTSARR competition.

The places in this final were distributed as follows:

1st place Yaroslav Govorukhin and Milana Mardanova

2nd place Grigory Kortunov and Valeria Nikushina

3rd place Alexander Baurov and Anastasia Sereda

4th place Roman Konovalov and Tatyana Datchuk

The highlight of the evening was the Russian American Smooth Championship among professionals. The couples shared their skills and excellent dance performances. In a tense struggle for first place this year, the winners were Oleg Kharlamov and Tatyana Kudryavtseva, silver was won by 5-time Russian champions Alexey Polovnikov and Olga Shcherbina, bronze medalists were Valery Katsyr and Anna Gritsenko, Denis Molkov and Alexandra Blum took an honorable fourth place, Valentin Pozdnyakov and Yana Pozdnyakova took fifth place.

Also, within the framework of the RTS Championships and Championships, competitions among Juniors 2+1 were held. It is worth noting that young competitors become more confident and professional with each tournament. Places in the standings:

1st place Anton Povaliy and Anastasia Petrushenko

2nd place Alexander Fomin and Milena Sergeeva

3rd place Mikhail Gorshkov and Anna Zorina

4th place Roman Maletsky and Sofia Abdrakhmanova.
