American Smooth at Astera Black Cup 2024

On December 1, the Astera Black Cup took place in Yekaterinburg, within which a Solo Smooth tournament was held. An important historical milestone for SRDS was the holding of the first Russian Championship SRDS SMOOTH Senior.

In 2018, SRDS began developing American Smooth among professional couples together with RTS and MASKT. Later we developed training programs for juveniles and juniors. Subsequently, within the framework of a cooperation agreement with FTSARR, Smooth was launched in the youth and adult categories. In 2023, Eldar Dzhafarov’s author’s program Solo Smooth® appeared.

Today, with special pride, we present the first tournament under the auspices of SRDS for American Smooth among seniors - the Russian Championship SRDS SMOOTH Senior

The places in the finals were distributed as follows:

1st place - Igor Zlygostev and Anna Zlygosteva (Perm)

2nd place - Igor Kuchkildinov and Tatyana Kostrikova (Ekaterinburg)

3rd place - Denis Garmash and Natalya Lunina-Garmash (Kaliningrad)

4th place - Dmitry Permyakov and Svetlana Kokoulina (Izhevsk)

5th place - Shevchenko Alexander and Shevchenko Ekaterina (St. Petersburg)

6th place - Ognev Yuri and Karpenko Vera (Perm)

Also that evening there was a Solo Smooth tournament. Seven wonderful smoothie dancers took part in the finals of the tournament. Places in the standings were distributed as follows:

3rd place Daria Sirotina (Moscow)

4th place Arina Umetbaeva (Ekaterinburg)
